I updated my firmware on the Z9 to 3.01 today. I will try it out tomorrow if the weather cooperates and see if I can determine any changes in the AF modes. .

I had 3.0 already loaded. 3.01 took a "long" time, maybe longer than the 3.0 update. Make sure your battery is fully charged and the camera is not moved after the update begins.

Did mine the other day Joe but not had a chance to see if any changes are noticeable. (the odd cat through my bedroom window was followed with ease, but that's not going to count. Lol).

I finally had a chance to test 3.01 today.... IMHO it really is an improvement over 3.0, as I was able to follow the wild cavorting of our young Irish Setter lass with ease - once the AF latched on the subject, it just stuck with it, only letting go when I disengaged the shutter release button.
Very impressed!
