Tour 1: Feb 1-8:  Tour 2:  Feb 8 to Feb 15

Winter is truly a special time in Yellowstone, the worlds first national park. Imagine valleys teeming with wildlife surrounded by snow covered mountains. Steaming hot springs, magnificent geysers, and the absence of tourists, combine to make this a memorable visit. We'll travel comfortably in a 15 passenger van and chartered snow coach to various locations within the park to photograph wildlife and stunning winter scenes..

Join long time & award winning professional wildlife photographer D. Robert Franz on this exciting photo adventure. Robert is a resident of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and been photographing in Yellowstone National Park for 34 years and leading tours in the park since 1990..  Franzfoto Tours is a  permitted photo tour operator in Yellowstone National Park and Robert is an accredited Yellowstone Interpretative Guide.  During the summer Robert spends nearly every day leading tours in the park (130 days) with Experience Yellowstone Tours. This is far more time than most other tour leaders who come in for a week or two a year. With an area as large as Yellowstone local knowledge valuable. Robert knows the key locations for the best photography throughout the year.

During the tour we charter a private 15 passenger snow coach out of West Yellowstone for 3 full days to visit the interior of the park and then spend the other 4 full shooting days working the famous northern ecosystem from Gardiner to Cooke City where most of the best wildlife photography opportunities take place along with some great landscape photography.
