Prior to our workshop, Alan and Greg went on a scouting expedition and found this redtail hawk nest with 2 chicks.  They set up a blind and we sat waiting for one of the parents to return with a meal.  A gray squirrel is in the parent's grasp.  Although our presence was tolerated in the blind, the birds were sensitive to the sound of the shutter release....even in "silent" mode.  We had to leave for the chicks to be fed.

A great family portrait. Looks like the birds and nest is in shade with the BG in sun. Glad your wait paid off.
