Thinking of dialogue in other posts I thought to show a simple test re edge clarity on the 100-400 Z whilst I was testing it out.

HH.  Full frame and deliberate placement of this wonderful object on the edge.   :)

Think of this as information sharing.

Techs were Z7II and Nikkor 100-400 Z 1/640 F5.6 at 400mm ISO 400 wide open.  Needed to see what would happen HH at the edges.

No stopping down or focus stacking.  Worst case scenario...

Details and colors are great. Some people like it better than the 500 f 5.6 PF lens. The 400 f 4.5 will be an exciting lens as well.

Thanks Karl. First impressions are its a very, very good lens. I'm more than pleased with the 100-400 and am just waiting for the 1.4 which again, is in short supply. The next part is the Z9 in my puzzle which I hope should be soon as was ordered last November! Then the 800... That though, could be a painful wait.

The 400 4.5 looks like a good un too...(Just supply issues...sign of the times!!)
Make your life spectacular!
