I have used my R6 with my 100-400 and a 1.4x and I'm pretty happy with the performance.
Does anyone have experience using a 1.4x with the new 100-500 and either the R6 or R5?
Can I use the EF 1.4x with the R 100-500?
Thanks

The R5 works well with the new 1.4x TC and the RF 100-500, I guess the R6 should be similar. I don't think the EF TC fits though. You might have to raise the ISO some more because of the minimum aperture. You probably know that you can't use the entire zoom range on the short end with TC attached because the TC protrudes into the lens.

Just to be sure that i understand, when you said the new 1.4x TC you meant the RF TC which costs around $500?

Yes, I meant the new RF version of the TC.
