The 28mm Zeiss Otus is so heavy that even Zeiss warns about possible warping of the camera's lens mount if the lens is not properly supported. But nobody - including Zeiss - is offering such support in any form. At least I couldn't find it. Did anyone here have better luck than I did in that regard?

Perhaps the Long lens support package from really right stuff? Expensive but just may be what you are looking for.

I was looking at those on the B&H site, but there is no info regarding the diameters those have. I may pay RRS a visit next time I'm in San Luis Obispo.

This seems to be a good starting point. I'm thinking about just using the Y-shaped part, attached to the ballhead with something the local machine shop can create.

Thanks, I didn't know that. I'm a lot in SLC on business, so that's even more convenient.
