DPReview TV: Could the Sony a1's fast sensor bring us better picture quality as well as speed?

Sony engineers should borrow one of the latest Olympus cameras and see the tricks they've done. The fact that Sony is a smartphone maker as well gives them an advantage, I think, over Canon and Nikon. The A1 and Xperia combination to send images in real-time to editors has got to be an advantage for their photographers shooting sports/Olympics, etc. Too bad they won't get to shoot the Olympics this year, though.
Astrophotography could be taken to another level if they could stack images in-camera and output a raw file.
