Check out a backpack from LL Bean. The Stowaway model might work. It’s fabric is not canvas however. You can call them to see if they have a model that fits your needs. Also check out REI. I use the stowaway for photo purposes.

My sister, who passed on a couple of years ago, introduced me to Maxpedition bags. They are very versatile and have a lot of attachment points for smaller bags and accessories. They are pretty tough. Big 5 Sporting Goods also carry tactical style bags that are made very well. If there is one in your area, you might check them out. A non-photo bag will generally cost you much less than one made for camera equipment and will be just as strong.

I'd look at Backpacker magazine reviews. That is how I pick my small travel or trail packs. They are not likely to have your specifics as they are general purpose and your specs seem camera oriented.
