That's sad, the F6 was the best 35mm film camera ever made IMHO.

Ah that is a shame... I remember when it was released. It was SO COOL.
I guess it's an indicator of the times... still, it's sad to see it go.

Hi,

That's too bad. My first real camera was the Nikon FM. It was a great camera and lasted for over 20 years of heavy use.

Have Fun,
Jeff

Yes I would agree that seeing a great film camera go the way of the dodo is sad but I have wrestled with a related decision myself.  To begin with, I don't shoot much these days, but regardless, I still have my film bodies, one of which is a Mamiya RZ 67 Pro II. I still have plenty of slide and B&W film for it as well, and when I shot with it in the past, I loved it.  But (!), I never reach for it because, among other things, it is just too convenient to shoot digitally.  There is no waiting, no added expense of processing and shipping, no scanning to make prints at home, and I am willing to bet these days I am much less proficient at dialing in correct exposure – my DSLR certainly has made me lazy.  So it is sad loss, but for most of us, I think it is for purely nostalgic reasons.
