This lens would shoot at several focus points (separate images) on the same sensor image, as far as I can tell. The pixel size of each image would be small unless you had a high MP sensor. It could be useful for image stacking if the quality of image is high enough, but I’m just speculating.

Basically the Lytro concept for regular cameras.
