I'm creating this thread so that we can see who is using what apps on their smart phone.

I'm curious what you use for editing or shooting of images on the phone itself, as well as apps to aid in the process of photography like a depth of field calculators, sun/moon/weather apps and so forth.

Right now I use minimal apps but am always looking for more. These are some that I use:

SimpleDof - for depth of field calculations
ProCam - manual and auto controls for your smart phone camera
Pro HDR X - for capturing HDR images on your phone
Lapse it - for creating time-lapse with more control than what is built into your phone
CamRanger - for use with CamRanger hardware
Snapseed - for editing of images on your phone
Transfer - for transferring images to/from the phone wirelessly
Sunseaker - for tracking sunrise and sunset positions (it does other things)

These are just a few of what I use (the primary ones).

What do you use? Hopefully this will prove interesting and can be an ongoing discussion!

Just to show how times have changed over the years:

Some of these aren’t even available anymore.

Several people here have mentioned using Photographers Ephemeris and Lighttrac.

Here are a couple of links to articles that give info on apps for photographers. I use some of them:

https://www.androidauthority.com/photo-editor-apps-for-android-337494/

Two I find useful are AccuWeather and Nikon Manual Viewer 2.

Photographers Empheris
Windy (technically a weather app, but I use it get an idea of wind directions which is important at times for photography)
MaxCurve
Afterlight
Snapseed
Timelapse
NightCap
PS Align Pro(its an astronomy app, but it has a pile of helpful calculation functions such as field of view with a sensor/lens combo which is helpful for astro targets)
Scope Nights + iCSC for forecasting for astrophotography conditions.
DoFC(Depth of field calculator)
I have a host of others as well. No one app ever seems to be able to do what I want, so I keep accumulating more.

Please keep these coming. I think this is a great idea. I never knew about Nikon Manual Viewer and some of the other ones.
