Nikon SU800/SB-R200 Batteries

I've just got the SB-R200 Macro flash kit. I see that the flash and commander both use CR123a 3V batteries
Is it safe to use the Rechargeables as on eBay which are rated as 3.7V 2300mWh
Anyone using these, don't want to blow it?

Update - I've read that the SU800 will shut down with the higher voltage cells. I've also seen some 3V rechargables.
