Note that this event is occurring at the same time as the PhotoPlus Expo in New York City, only a couple of blocks away at the Javits Center. In past years Sony has been a significant exhibitor at PhotoPlus, but this year is not exhibiting. Apparently it decided it could get more bang for the buck holding this separate event nearby. I expect that it will provide a greater opportunity to experience the Sony gear than would otherwise occur at a crowded exhibit booth at PhotoPlus.
