I can’t imagine paying this much for an f2 lens! Must be really good, but hardly worth it for most people.

I often wonder if the technology hasn't surpassed the ability of the human eye to detect the differences between the images produced by a $500 lens and a $4,000 one (or the human palate determining between a $60 bottle of Cabernet and a $300 bottle!. Happily, I CAN tell the difference between a can of Coors and a bottle of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.)
