Do Canon Extenders work with Sigma macro lenses

I am wondering if my Canon extenders would work with the Sigma 180 macro or the(discontinued) Sigma 150 macro lens. Or do I have to get Sigma extenders?

In case I join the exodus to Nikon, do these Sigma lenses work with Nikon extenders?

I assume the Sigma dock would not work with a non-Sigma extender attached, is that correct?

Will these Sigma lenses work with Kenko extension tubes?

In general Sigma lenses are not compatible with Nikon teleconverters.  Extension tubes are a totally different thing, there's nothing preventing them from working.  In general Nikon goes to much greater lengths than any other camera manufacturer to purposely make third party accessories incompatible - they have even issued firmware in the past where they snuck in things to make thord party items incompatible that were compatible prior to the FW update.  I have not tried to mount a Canon TC on a Sigma macro lens so i can't answer that but I was able to find where other Sigma lenses like the 150-600 do work with Canon TCs - it usually ends up being a rear element protrusion question.  There are a lot of Sigma macro lens users out there so this should be easier to find out than it seems to be.

I have the Sigma 150mm macro (non-IS version). The Canon 1.4x teleconverter interferes with this lens and will not mount. This lens works fine with the Sigma teleconverter in Canon mount.

You could always stick a 12mm extension tube between the two - then everything should work except you lose infinity focus.

Thanks though not what I was hoping to hear.

The Sigma 150mm IS version works fine with the Canon 1.4x III mounted on my 7D Mark II body. The 2x III also fits but does not autofocus. The non-Is version required an extension tube which I found was too unwieldy to use handheld in the field.
