I will be traveling to the Galapagos in late Aug. How is the best way to control the humidity issue? Also,looking for a flashlight for light painting.

Olight makes some very good flashlights that are very powerful for their size. This is one example:

When I travel to Central and South America, I take a bunch of Silica-gel packets that I collect over time. These are the tiny bags that come in many electronic and camera gear items you purchase (the little packets that say desiccant, do not eat). I place them throughout my camera bag or hard shell case in the locations where I place my lenses and camera bodies. I have found these to work well enough for the few weeks of most tropical travel. If you are leaving soon, you can buy them from amazon or do a search on line for Silica Gel or desiccant packs. They come in all kinds of sizes and are not that expensive.

Should you be fortunate to have a room with AC, be sure and follow proper acclimatization techniques when going from AC to the outside and back. Best to try and keep your bag closed when in your room if only for a short time to prevent the equipment from getting cold. Same for when traveling in an AC controlled bus or van. Overnight is a bit more of a challenge. Best to try and bring the gear up to outside temp by leaving the room early, opening your bag and letting the gear "warm up" before use. Bottom line is to avoid subjecting your gear to rapid temperature changes to prevent condensation formation.
