Techart, one of the handful of adapter manufacturers that I recommend, has introduced a Sony FE lens to Nikon Z body adapter.  If this works it would be a very good thing since there are some lenses in the Sony FE line that there is no Nikon Z or F mount equivalent.  For example, while there is a Nikon 80-400 F-mount lens, it is a poor lens by today's standards and not at all optimized for mirrorless cameras while the Sony 100-400 is simply the best lens in this genre ever made (yes even much better than the Canon 100-400 II).  Origianlly, I and many felt that the 2mm difference in flange-back distance between the Sony and Nikon mount might not be enough toa llow such an adapter, since the Nikon mount is so much wider it does allow such an adapter.  Here is a first detailed hands on with non finished firmware, I think it is fairly impressive given that this product will only be improved via upgradeable firmware.  It also allows one to shoot with the ergonomically superior Z7 and Z6 instead of the a7R3 and a73 with a much more complete lens lineup designed for mirrorless use.  here's the video:

P.S.  My latest newsletter which I just posted has a more in depth look into adapting lenses:

Amazing that they can achieve this with an adapter that is only 2mm thick - wow.
Be interesting to see how it works.
Great times for photographers - easier to mix and match - fewer contraints!
