New to XQD cards. Seems Sony or Lexar. Any pros or cons between them for Nikon bodies? Oh, and card readers as well. Thanks. Jim

Sony is the inventor of the format if that matters. Either works fine.

I have two XQD card readers. When I bought my Nikon camera bodies I first purchased this:

Cost was $69.
Later I purchased a smaller unit to use when traveling:

Cost was $25.
Both units seem to work equally well. I like the $25 version because of it's small size.

Oh missed the card reader question. If possible, get a CFexpress card reader that is backward compatible to XQD - it future proofs you.
Sony has announced such a reader, the MRW-G1. Not sure if it's shipping yet though.

I've always used the Sony cards in my Nikons. Only had one bad card, a 120gb of their new series. Didn't want to read or write below 35F. The replacement has been fine. My card readers are also Sony, both came with cameras (D4, D5)
