I found a used Nikon D4s on a trusted site this afternoon at a very good price point. When I called Nikon to ask how much  it would cost to replace the shutter mechanism and they said they would not reform the task. Why wouldn't they change the shutter out when I'm willing to pay for it. The camera has 368,000 clicks. By replacing the shutter I would have a new camera basically.

Is it not a USA model? If it was a gray market purchase they will not touch it at any cost. There should be no problem if it is a USA model although they won't fix it until it breaks. They do not do preventive type change outs.

Try APS, call them and see what they say. If it is gray, you'll probably get the same answer.
