I just purchased a Nikon 600mm FL, can anyone recommend a good backpack. Is there just one pack that I could cary this lens with body attached?

Thank You

I have a Ruggard (B&H?) which is the best for the money.

I have been looking at a Think Tank one that fits a 600 w/ pro body. They also have their line of "Glass Taxi's" that will fit the 600 but I don't think with body attached.

I have used this bag for years and am very satisfied. It will fit your 600 with a pro body attached.

Dear Mike:

Like Ed K, I use a Lowepro Trekker 600 for my Canon EF 600 F4L IS II USM + 1DX Mk II. This backpack works very well, in my view.

Best Regards, Roman :-)

I appreciate all the information, I already have the Gura 42L which can cary the lens plus 2 bodies and a few smaller lenses. I decided on the Rugard as I only wanted to carry body & lens.

Thank You

I use the Lowepro Lens Trekker 600 AW backpack and it is perfect for hiking with the 600mm lens with very comfortable arm and waist straps. I can have a camera mounted to the 600mm along with the 1.4x teleconverter and fit is all inside the backpack. The outer pocket has room for a couple of teleconverters and memory cards and spare batteries.

This works well for auto travel to a location. It is much too bulky to take on board an aircraft and for that I use a Gura Gear 32L Bataflae backpack.
