I reviewed the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 favorably last year and this is another lens in Tamron's compact fast glass for Sony FE - a 17-28mm f/2.8 that is much smaller and lighter than the Sony 16-35FE.  The lens has a filter diameter of just 67mm compared to 82mm for its competitors.

The 28-75 has become a top seller for Tamron with supply shortages due to demand and even price hikes since its inception.  Hopefully this lens will be just as good and successful.

And they announced a 35-150 2.8-4 for Nikon and Canon. Looks like a great companion to their 17-35 2.8-4 which has become my favorite lens.
