Hi,

Originally found this link in the comments section of Nikon Rumors so they get credit. In the field comparison of bird flight shots with all three cameras over multiple days. Obviously the shooting conditions are not consistent, but the birds are. Actually I'd like to know where he shot these birds. Seems to reflect the opinions expressed that the D500 and D850 still have some advantages over the Z7 in terms of auto focus. Practical field review not test bench.

Well, completely muffed that posting. I meant to list the new Nikon Z7 in comparison with the other two Nikon offerings. And the link is now corrected to the appropriate video and listed below as well.

My bad.

What's an x7? Did you mean Sony a7 or Nikon Z7? I sped through the video and only see the D850 and D500.

In the video when he mentions video, he refers to the Z7. That takes place about 90% into the video.

I don't read everything that comes out on the Z7, but I was surprised to hear him mention a lag in the EVF vs. actual subject movement. Has that been brought up before? If so, might it be fixable in a future update? The mention is near the end of the video when he's reviewing the Z7 shots.

The Z7 AF system has been pretty much maligned by every reviewer that doesn't have Nikon Ambassador attached to their name, as has the 24-70 f/4 for the most part. The Canon lenses for the EOS R and the AF are much better but the sensor they used on it is not very good by today's standards and the video is a joke.
