Awhile back I made the transition from Canon to Sony,  For the most part I have no regrets, but I do have a question about the Sony AF on my A9.
On Canon and other brands of camera,  with continuous  AF set you are able to move the lens' focus ring and manually fine tune focus.  Unless I missing something in setting the camera up I'm unable to do the same with my A9.  Other than using DMF which I believe is single shot. is manually fine tuning possible?
Thanks

After using dmf or just rotating focus ring...hit and hold the focus lock present on most lenses and you will be able shoot to your heart's content.

Thanks Mike for your suggestion, however it has been my experience (I could be wrong) that once I put the camera in DMF I'm limited to using single shot drive.

DMF is designed to go into MF easily to focus for "a" shot...obviously it can't be designed to follow action in continuous or it would be called auto focus. For more than 1 shot, focus hold comes into play.
