I don’t know if this has anything to do with the problem, but only one slot on the a7rlll is listed as being compliant with UHS-ll cards. Other cameras may be the same. On this page, under recording system, it shows that:

Re: Formatting in computer, if the guy is using an older card reader, it probably is not compatible with the new card. Newest cards require a recent model card reader to format properly. That holds true for older computer OS’s, as well. SDcard.org recommends that cards be formatted with SDcard formatter according to this:

Yes but it's the UHS 2 slot that is having the problem with the card and it is working in the UHS 1 slot. And even with that, it should only be a matter of speed, not a matter of not recognizing the card if it were all working properly.

Just for general information, this guy formatted the card in the computer to exFAT and FAT32 in his efforts to get it to work. When a large capacity card (like 64 or 128GB) is formatted to FAT32, it reverts the card to 32GB until it is changed back to exFAT. I’ve heard of people returning cards because they didn’t have the stated capacity and this could be the reason why(if they weren’t counterfeit).
