Thanks for the help and suggestions. In the end, I gave in and purchased a Wimberley F-2 from B&H. It really sucks trying to get specialty items like this within Canada. Not one major photo equipment store in Canada stocks the F-2 or M-4.

Should be here in about a week. If it works as well as I hope it will, I will order a second M-4 arm (since I already have one M-1 with my telephoto arm). A costly option, but it will last the rest of my life and should be rock solid.
