Canon 24-70 f/4 or 24-105 II?

Long story short, the title says it all.  I understand the 24-70 is sharper, but obviously the 24-105 is more versatile.  For “walk around” and landscapes, (no architecture or serious/important interiors,) am I going to see a difference in sharpness on prints (I’d be surprised if I ever printed as large as 20x30) from a 5d4?

Thanks in advance.

I don't see a significant difference between the two lenses in the reviews listed above. Personally, I'd go for the more extended reach unless size and weight were part of the decision.

If you need the wide end from 24-28mm a lot then the 24-70 is quite a bit better, especially in the corners.

Heres another review, you can switch back and forth between views at different focal lengths and apertures. A top quality 24-105 seems like a tough nut to crack from the many reviews I've seen. There seem to be trade-offs with any brand.

Thank you both - 24-70 is on the shopping list.
