Dod you recommend having 2 batteries?

What L bracket would you recommend other than a RRS bracket?

Some guidance on set-up in menue

2 batteries would be an advantage, it was my first additional purchase. 

Check out the Mark Galer videos on YouTube. He goes into the menus step by step.

I have the Kirk bracket and love it myself.  I would definitely suggest having 2 batteries.

The battery in the a7R III lasts a long time, especially if continuous shooting, like 2000 shots.  If you are using it more like a landscape body with a few shots and a lot of EVF/LCD time then it's more like 600.  Battery life on a mirrorless camera basically comes down to EVF/LCD time and however many shots you get in during that time so it can vary wildly depending on the shooting model.  But yes, one extra battery is always a good idea.
