Since out for a while now, curious if lens users are happiest with either a Kirk or RRS replacement foot vs. an attached plate, long enough to support the 2x iii extender?

Get the NSN replacement foot that we (Greg) specifically designed for maximum rigidity. It is superior to both the Kirk and RRS feet. An added benefit is that it weighs less than a stock foot plus plate and makes the lens slightly lower profile to travel with than a stock foot plus plate. Here's a link:

Perfect E.J. I'll order once I move ahead with the lens.

Just received my NSN foot. Wow, sturdy but lightweight and low profile. So glad I did this vs. a plate added to the Canon foot.
