I have a new D810 and have noticed that when I install a new charged set of batteries the camera will read a full charge but with one actuation the charge does not show in the camera.  The internal battery shows a discharge after a few shots and the external batteries show no charge left.  Suspect that the contacts in the battery pack need cleaning.  Any ideas.   hcarl

Andrew: Thanks for tip. Don't like ordering from US site as exchange is 35%. Good prices for US purchasers. Looks like I have to recondition my batteries so will see how that turns out. Installed a set of new AA today and all seems to be working fine. Will try a set of Powerex once I have them reconditioned and see how they work out. hcarl

This is usually the sign that batteries need to be replaced (at least in computers).
