Thanks for that guys will buy 8 of each and see how they work out.  I have Imedion now but they are getting pretty old (7 yrs.) and are not holding a charge the way they should.  In only a few shots I can see the internal battery going down which doesn't seem correct to me. hcarl

Every serious photographer I know uses Powerex. I like the Imedions myself and use about 32 of them. They don't have quite the same power as the regular Powerex AA's, but they do not loose a charge when sitting idle for long periods, which is great when going on trips and stuff. Never had a single issue with a Powerex battery, so if you are having issues with your Imedions, I would talk to them and see about getting a possible replacement.

Eneloop Pro has higher capacity.  But I have to check out the Powerex now.

hi there!
in march i will be in new jersey and also buying a few little things .... :-)
more AA rechargable batteries are in my list....
currently i use Watson brand , 2300mh i guess, mainly for flashes....
the powerex seems to be 2700mh .
any other clear advantage over the Watsons ? ( never had any problem with the Watsons, but seems powerex is the one indicated here .... )

thanks!

Actually, I use both Powerex and Imedion. Have had them for many years. Can’t really notice any difference between them as far as function, reliability, and longevity. Never used Eneloops.

Imedion are made by Powerex. Powerex have more power, but Imedions hold there charge for a much longer time. They say that they only loose about 15% in a year of sitting idle. A huge bonus when you are traveling or need batteries with a charge in a pinch.
