Nikon D850
Has anyone used one of the 3rd party battery grips? Does it work well? Do you get 9 fps with the Nikon battery 18b?
Which grip and where purchased? I have seen several posts about 3rd party grips, but no follow up on how they actually work.

I don't think there're 3rd party grips capable of 9fps but don't quote me on that.
I emailed some Chinese sellers on ebay and was told that 9fps capability will be available around january-february.

I can't comment on the grips for the D850, but my (Chinese knock-off) Vello grip for my D500 does the 10fps.

Just a heads up.

Some will be just fine, but make sure they'll take the EN-EL18 series batteries so a BL-5 can be used.  (some of the grips like Pixel will only take the EN-EL15 batteries so will not give you the frame rate boost and have a slightly different battery cover shape so the BL-5 won't fit either).

The grip below, has been quoted on another site as ok for the higher frame rate...   (no personal experience yet).

Yeah but the D500 does 10FPS without the grip and doesn't get any faster with it. The D850 only does 7 FPS without the grip and need a grip to do 9FPS so the two aren't comparable in that regard.
