I received my Sigma 150-600 Sport lens a couple of days ago and updated the firmware to 1.04 using the USB Dock. I tried it using the default focus settings and feel it's not great at near Infinity distance.

Having tuned my 135mm f1.8 lens I'm familiar with the concept of entering the offset values into the dock. I use a Lens Align MkII to determine the amount of front or back focussing at the mid distance for the 4 focus distances in the configuration software. On the 135mm the set points are 0.875M, 1.3M, 2.3M and Infinity.

I've watched several videos and none that I've found explain the mechanics of determining the correct offset values at distances approaching Infinity. What do you use as a target at that range?

I use a long ruler version of the Lens Align 2 and go 50% farther than the third distance column in the Focus offset table.
