Voigtländer will release three new lenses for Sony E-mount. 65mm Macro, 40mm and a 35mm. I like my two Voigtländers - 15mm and 75mm - a lot and might be tempted to replace my 35mm Loxia with the new Voigtländer.

These things are made in the same factory that makes the Zeiss Milvus lenses and you sure can tell by the feel of them. Rock solid with the most silky smooth focusing mechanism ever put on any lens.

The relationship between Zeiss and Voigtländer has always been close. Zeiss actually owned the Voigtländer brand from 1956 until 1982 and between 1965 and 1972 both were a single integrated company. Today Voigtänder is owned by the German photo store chain Ringfoto GmbH, which has the lenses manufactured by Cosina, just as Zeiss does.
