Even the lowly, teeny tiny m4/3 has better DR than the Canon.

The Sony RX10M2 with a 1" sensor / at 13% of the sensor area equals the DR of this FF Canon at base ISO.

From what I am reading from people that have analyzed the files, it seems that Canon is using their oldest semiconductor technology on this camera, not the newer one used in the 5D4 and 1Dx2 and even the 80D. If that is true, the 6D Mk II is not something I would recommend for landscape photographers. You could get an original a7 and a Metabones or Sony MC-11 and blow the doors off this camera in every regard as it relates to image quality and keep in your pocket almost $1000.

Popular Photography doesn't exist anymore.
Guess that is why they are not bugging me to renew.

EOS-6D Mk II
"For the same price, Nikon's D750 offers nearly the same resolution, loads more dynamic range and a far more sophisticated autofocus system ... the 6D II falls too far short for us to recommend it over the competition, and therefore it doesn't merit our highest awards."

Too bad!

Yet another test that indicts this camera as an unworthy successor to the 6D. I hope nobody buys this camera sending Canon a strong message that it is not OK, at all, to come out with a new Mk II model of a camera that is a worse camera where it counts most, image quality, than its 5 year old predecessor.
