I just got Nikon teleconverter TC-14E AF-I and when using with Sigma 300-800mm, reported aperture and focal length
is that of the lens alone. When using the same lens with Sigma 1.4 teleconverter EXIF information is correct.
Is this normal behavior with Nikon TC-14E AF-I ?
Would I get correct information with TC-14E II AF-S or III ?

TIA

Yes it's normal, Nikon doesn't program third party info into their products.  I'm surprised the Nikon TC even fits the Sigma lens.  Most Sigma lenses can't be attached to a Nikon TC.  Neither the TC14E II or III has ever fit any Sigma lens that I've tried to attach it to.

And the only difference between the AF I and AF II versions is that the AF I version has a smooth finish, the AF II has a textured paint job. Don't ask me why.....
