CANON 80D
CANON 70-200 f4 L non-is.

There is a very similar species to this one, called the Aphrodite butterfly, so I may be mistaken on my identification of this photographed individual. ( Comparing the two from my guide book, this one appears to be as identified, but please correct me, if this is incorrect). This is a species I don't see too often, but has very nice colours and patterns. There are fields close to my home, which are quite productive for sightings of several species, including this one, taken at that location. Summer time photograph.

Province of Ontario, Canada, image.
Thanks to everyone for viewing.

Great perch and pose, and a fine image. I think you're right on the ID.

Lovely shot and perch on a thistle (?) Teasel?
I would agree on your u.d. except I have never seen one so red, with bluish spots. The ones I know about are more of a rusty brown color and the spots are grey-ish white or white.

Maybe take down the color intensity?
Beautiful shot, anyway.
