![]() From a few of the comments for my recent moth post, it appears that many people are not aware of the variety and complexity of moths. In British Columbia alone, there are over 2000 moth species. I started photographing them about 5 years ago and have photographed over 400 species, in my yard alone. I have a night light setup to attract them to a cedar fence wall with large leaves, bark, coniferous branches etc. attached for them to land on. The variety of colours, sizes and shapes is remarkable, and very exciting. I photograph a new species almost every night I shoot. Moth watching and photography, may not be quite as popular as bird photography, but it is a very popular activity; more so than butterflies. Please click on image to view full size.
