Olympus OM System OM-1, M. Zuiko 90mm Macro, ISO 200, F/6.3, 1/30's
Hand held with Godox V860iii flash and Cygnustech flash diffuser.

This new OM System is incredible for macro stacking work.  I can shoot well over 100 frames for stacking images and the flash fires for every single frame. And it can all be done handheld. Not sure what the fps is when stacking with the flash, but it is somewhere from 5 to 10 fps.  I tried this with my D850, and it couldn't keep up or even come close to the OM System.  Please click on image to view full size.

Amazing...albeit scary looking.
Excellent stacking work here.

Very cool-looking ant and details, Tim, it would not surprise me if images like these inspired some sci-fi film creatures.

Terrific Close up Tim. The computerised technology in that focus stacking set up looks clearly superior to what else is available on the market, and is appealingly user friendly. Brilliant shot and work.

I have thought the same Axel.  When you are looking through the lens from just inches away, sometimes you image you are the same size and it can get freaky.  I can't imagine what is it like being prey to some of these creatures; especially the beetles and spiders.

Not a pretty critter, but an excellent capture.
