Turtle Shell

This is an image of the shell pattern from a Texas Tortoise photographed at the Laguna Seca Ranch in deep South Texas.  1/100 sec, f/9, iso 80, 90 mm macro lens.  The soil in South Texas is very sandy.  The material you see in the pattern are grains of sand.  A little better detail viewed large.

This makes a great abstract -cool patterns and colors. Looks like an old one, perhaps. I want to rech out and touch it to feel the texture. Nice one!
