 I love these "weeds" in the fall-they really brighten up the landscape at a time when most flowers are gone. I don't consider it a "weed", as it is a very beneficial pollinator. It was , apparently, named after a native American whose name was shorten in Wnglish to "Pye". Lots of stories about him.: https://extension.illinois.edu/blogs/ga ... e-pye-weed Click for clarity.
