Love the detail in this view. I guess the violet refers to the inner parts? Nice to see this to compare with the "American" version. Mine have gone by , mostly, so can't get that kind of detail. Love this one though!

Hi Cindy, the leaves and stem have a distinct purple tinge, best seen prior to reaching full maturity and flowering state - see here.

Locally it is the last of our orchids to flower.

In some alpine valleys, late flowering orchids like Spiranthes spiralis can be found in autumn.
