My first image her in a while after a break from photography for a few years.

Z8, 100-400 S  @400mm, 1/5s, f11, ISO 100, tripod with flexshooter pro.

Quite a common flower here in Germany along rivers.

Welcome back, Markus.

Lovely image - great use of your zoom's 400mm focal length to isolate your subject and provide a nice BG.

the 100-400 is great for flowers. Nikon has not (yet?) released a 4/200 Micro S lens for the Z system so this is the best choice for longer lenses when it comes to flowers and insects.
I also had the 105 Micro with me but that would have meant getting much closer, trampling down flowers and probably coming home with a tick or two.
The 100-400 allowed me to shoot this from a gravel road without doing any damage and avoiding ticks.
It is also very sharp, I hope to try it soon for dragonflies.

Beautiful return shot! I love the textured detail of this, and the simple composition. I sure do get it about the ticks!
Welcome back- looking forward to more.
