Combing thru my old files, I came across this pic of a cat near my house.
Its 2021 and we had to wear a mask while out shooting. 

60D, f16, 1/250 sec, handheld.

Personally, the dark bg works for me , tho i understand not for everyone.

I'd wear a mask around this one anytime! ;). I guess their spikes can be quite painful to handle. Dark BG works very well IMHO. Makes for a strong composition.
