 In this instance, we were delighted to find a hybrid between the early (O. sphegodes) and late spider orchids (O. fuciflora), characterised by a smaller floral body, than the typical broad late spider orchid and the trademark "H" emblem of the early spider orchid. With typical hybrid vigour, it was in full flower before either of its parents in the same habitat. Full description at www.ageo.ch Composite image merged from video file.
