Here's a frontal shot of a really small fella on my brief macro outing this morning. The chances of getting the eyes sharp are not great, but I guess I got lucky. After a generous crop, the result is reasonable.

Dolichopodidae or the long legged flies are a family of true flies with more than 7000 described species. They are small flies with large prominent eyes and a metallic cast to their appearance. Most have long legs, hence the common name.

1/200, f13, Canon 90D, 180Canon macro, Diffused flash, handheld.

Hope its a nice view and comments as always welcomed.
