Came across this orchid at a florist stall. When I saw the arch-like structure in the flower, i thought at first it was plastic implanted by the florist for some purpose. On closer inspection, I realised it was part of the reproductive structure of the flower, likely 2 anthers in contact with each other and forming a ring-like arch. Seems like a cool idea for a sudden wedding proposal, to offer flower and have a ring hidden within.
Just shot with handphone. EXIF not available. Just sharing so hope its of interest. Comments welcomed. https://flic.kr/p/2nYeiKTring-flower-for-NS-posting by Darren, on Flickr |
