I have tried an experiment here.  Macro is generally not what  I do.  This photo of an unknown flower was taken indoors with northern natural light. Flower was placed horizontally and camera sensor plane parallel to the flower. Taken with a tripod mounted Fuji XT-3, ISO 400, 20 half second exposures, fuji 80mm macro lense at f8 with 27 mm of extension tubes using in camera automatic focus bracketing, aligned and focus stacked in photoshop and cropped by about a 50%.  20 images of the focus bracketing were used for the stacking. No adjustments were made in the focus layer masks produced by photoshop. This is the first time I have tried this focus bracketing function in the camera or the focus stacking feature of photoshop.  I am kind of stunned everything actually worked as well as it did.

A successful experiment - pleasing colors and lots of good stacked detail. Looking forward to seeing more macro from you!

Terrific work! Well centered and detailed, with a nice burst of petals flaring outwards.

It looks like a dahlia, and the detail is superb! More please.
