Wandering Glider
A widespread species found in the tropics and subtropics of both hemispheres, (they may actually traverse the ocean,) in N America we see them all the way up in Michigan in the summers. This was from Feb in TX a few years ago; I stumbled across it trying to catch up on filing. I like how this shot shows the front legs tucked up behind the eyes during flight. 5DIV 100-400 4.5-5.6 L IS II f/9, 1/2500, ISO 1600 Hand held, natural light Comments and suggestions welcome |
