Wandering Glider

A widespread species found in the tropics and subtropics of both hemispheres, (they may actually traverse the ocean,) in N America we see them all the way up in Michigan in the summers.  This was from Feb in TX a few years ago; I stumbled across it trying to catch up on filing.  I like how this shot shows the front legs tucked up behind the eyes during flight.

Great wing position and head-to-tail detail - fine in-flight image.

Amazing capture, Craig! Sharp as a tack from head to tail, exquisite detail - and the front legs tucked up behind the head is brilliantly shown. A Master Class in insect flight photography. Love it!
