Common Chichory (Cichorium intybus)

Another member of the Asteracea family, commonly found next to roadsides, hence the German name "Wegwarte" loosely translated as  "path guardian".

Composite image merged from 8 K video file....total overkill with a final size of 225 MB..... just had to give it a try ;)

Nikon Z9 with Irix 150mm Macro.

Thanks for the visit - have a pleasant start to the WE.

I was tempted to boost the colour saturation - glad I opted for the original muted palette - it's so easy to be swayed by passing fads.

Chicory does sound rather bland, rather like a food additive....dull.
